Our experiment :
To further investigate sand fences and how they can benefit Maui's beaches, we placed our mini sand fence in foil tin with sand surrounding it, representing a beach in Maui. We then used a hair dryer as our wind source and payed close attention as the "wind" hit the fence.

For this assignment, thinking and problem solving skills best correlates. My group and I had to ponder over what solution would not only be beneficial to Maui but, also appropriate to Maui's environment.

Reflection
This project was really fun to create! My group and I learned a lot more about sand fencing and how it may benefit Maui. I am very proud of how our sand fence came along and the work we put into it. Although, to improve upon this project, I would build a bigger fence with a more spaced out design. With the knowledge we gained from this project, we can use what we know to potentially build a real fence for Maui's beaches!
